The Hacienda Uxmal Plantation and Museum, has been the heart of adventure destinations with a fleet of classic Land Rover Defender model cars, that are similar to those used in the Hacienda Uxmal more than half a century ago for adventure trips of the Puuc zone. We will take you back to the past, starting our journey through a red clay landscape route that will direct us to the plantation to reach the highest part of the Hacienda: the majestic viewing platform. From this privileged spot, you can enjoy the charm and magic of sunsets.
Our tour visit starts at the Hacienda Uxmal, crossing its entrance through a majestic arch next to a large Ceiba: the sacred tree for the Maya. At its grounds, we will appreciate the remains of walls, chimneys, and the old well still operating, that testified the progress and development of this Hacienda. The main house hosted many explorers, adventurers, dignitaries and writers in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
On the road, we will invite you to harvest seasonal fruits. You can take your fruits home or let our Chef to set up a fruit degustation for you.
Afterward, we’ll climb the Hacienda´s platform to experience a wonderful sunset with outstanding views of the pre-Hispanic city of Uxmal. There, we will be able to admire magnificent temples such as the Temple of the Soothsayer and the Governor´s Palace.
As the sun gradually falls on the horizon, the event will be accompanied by an atmosphere of relaxation with fragrances of tropical woods, breathing pure air, and surrounded by birdsongs. You will experience the same sceneries that ancient Maya of Uxmal saw with spirituality before going to sleep, in their land known as Mayab.
Additionally, we will be serving you a glass of wine to complement the magic of the moment.
At the end of our tour, we will invite you to visit the corridors of the Hotel Hacienda Uxmal Plantation & Museum, where you can visit the Gallery of Explorers who visited Uxmal and were guests of Hacienda Uxmal.
