Q: Are there any mandatory quarantine requirements for international travelers visiting Mexico? 

No, at the moment, Mexico does not require a mandatory self-quarantine period upon entry. It is strongly recommended that travelers experiencing COVID-19 symptoms do not travel to Mexico. Any travelers exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms upon arrival may be subject to additional health screenings, including COVID-19 testing and/or a 14-day quarantine.

Q: Are travelers required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test before entering Mexico? 

No, currently, visitors are not required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test to enter the country. However, travelers may be subject to health screenings such as temperature checks at airports, entry ports, hotels, and other attractions.

Although there is no nationwide mask mandate, many states and local authorities require masks to be worn and have enacted social distancing measures. Additionally, most hotels, restaurants, shopping centers, and other attractions require proper usage of face coverings and social distancing of at least two meters (six feet).
